A Bit About Me

20+ years in visual communication & training with global community engagement, I have been delivering different programs in education; was in charge of managing a team of animators at one time and provide lectures as well. Generally my industry is focused on animation (2D, 3D) short films and new age media creation; with a wealth of experience and real world production assets, I been providing courses to institutions around the world since 2019.

Building animation curriculums for various institutes around the world in 2D / 3D (Game) animation and workflows. This includes providing assets, PPTs, student manuals, grading / homework and more!

Working with Epic on Unreal Foundation courseware, Toon Boom Rigging, Paperless and Cut out courseware and Blender Foundation courseware.

Provided lectures regarding animation and game industry; received accolades and special volunteer consultant status at both the U.S., E.U. and Chinese embassies. I dedicate some time as a volunteer for cultural exchange in various events and community centers.

From 1998 - June 2018

Worked on a variety of short animation projects, TV series, commercials and game productions. I worked for companies and projects ranging from Porche, Hasbro, EA, Nintendo, Fox Animation Studio, WB and more!

 

I was fortunate to have training by some of the original linage of Disney 2D animators from the golden days of animation, sweating it out in the ink and paint department learning Toon Boom 'Opus' and then changed directions and studied 3D animation with Monolith, (Lithtech Engine) and even doing first person shooter animations for 'Metal of Honor'

Shifting back and forth between industries and roles, I was able to learn filmmaking and had done VFX at a commercial studio called 'Animal' based in Pittsburgh and even got into Fox Animation Studio and interned in Hanna Barbara.

With a lifetime of experience from production artist to ink and paint, digital cut out animation to finish production. I now share what I learned and pass on the art and trade of traditional / digital animation to new artists, no matter where they are.
